Rescue Engine 203

Engine 203 is our first due apparatus for all fires, alarms, and motor vehicle collisions. In addition, it serves as our primary vehicle for all FAST (Firefighter Assist and Search Team) activations. As a BLS Rescue Engine, 203 will occasionally respond to EMS calls when 241 is out on another emergency.

203 responds with at least a driver, an officer, and two additional interior-certified firefighters. It can, and most often does, seat a total of five firefighters in addition to the driver.

Truck 231

Truck 231 is the department's second-due apparatus for fire calls in the district. The truck is capable of seating five firefighters plus a driver.

231 is the primary mutual-aid truck for the City of Ithaca and is requested, along with Engine 203, to standby at Ithaca FD's Central Station to respond to additional fire calls during full assignments in the city.

Engine 202

Rescue 241

Rescue 241 is our Advanced Life Support (ALS) certified rescue vehicle. It is a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban and as outfitted it can seat 3 rescue personnel. It is essentially an ambulance without patient transport capacity, carrying state-of-the-art BLS and ALS equipment including the current Lifepak heart monitor and diffibrillator. It is first due to EMS calls in our district and second out on MVAs and other fire-rescue interface calls.

Utility 242

242 is a 2013 Ford F-150. It is a support vehicle primarily used for manpower transport, traffic control, and transport to and from classes. It contains a full compliment of communications and traffic control equipment.


Utility 243

243 is a 2010 Dodge Durango. It is a support vehicle primarily used for manpower transport, traffic control, and transport to and from classes. It contains a full compliment of communications and traffic control equipment. 243 was purchased using funds from the George and Hazel Hanselman Trust.
