"Probie" at Home in Dumpster |
|
At 2325 on 14 December, CHFD responded to a dumpster fire on Cayuga Heights Rd. This routine call happened to be the first real fire put out by wildland firefighter and fresh-off-probation FF Kaufman. The original dispatch was to investigate an unauthorized burn but when 261 (Tamborelle) arrived, he found a dumpster well off adjacent to the building. FF Kaufman and the rest of the crew of 202 extinguished and overhauled the dumpster, during which FF Kaufman's fire-line tool skills were particularly useful. Welcome to real firefighting, Jeff. |
