Community CPR
Would you like to learn CPR? Perhaps you took CPR before but just want to brush up on your skills? "Family and Friends CPR", a program developed by the American Heart Association, is available for members of the Cayuga Heights fire protection area who would like to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. As members of the Cayuga Heights or Northeast Town of Ithaca community this course is available to you free of charge and is taught by firefighters and EMTs of the Cayuga Heights Fire Department. The course is expected to last 2 to 2.5 hours. It covers adult and child CPR, adult and child choking, and has an optional infant CPR unit. There is no written or skills test associated with this course.
We will be offering the following course free of charge soon. To sign up, email cpr@chfd.net or fill out our email form by clicking on the "email form" button at the right.
Please join us in making our community a safer place.
Birthday Parties at the Fire Station
One special function of the Cayuga Heights Fire Department is our hosting of children's birthday parties at the station. Complete with a station tour, a firefighting theme, and truck rides, it is a great way for kids to enjoy their special day.
