The Cayuga Heights Fire department is a fully volunteer organization providing fire and ALS emergency medical services to the Village of Cayuga Heights, portions of the Town of Ithaca, and to sections Cornell University. The department is comprised of local area residents and undergrad and graduate students. All required gear and training is provided, free-of-charge to volunteers.
Volunteering at CHFD
The Cayuga Heights Fire Department conducts membership drives twice a year, in congruence with the academic semesters. We are currently at the end of our Fall Recruitment Drive. Our next opportunity for membership will open up in February 2012.

Be sure to include the following information in your message: your full name, preferred email address, telephone number, current home address, and length of lease or planned time to reside at your current address. Any other pertinent information is also helpful: year in school (if applicable), current trainings/certifications (fire or ems), commercial drivers license, etc.
