The Tompkins County Office for the Aging is now participating in the Senior Care Concierge (SCC) MedQR program, which provides wearable medical QR code wristbands for older adults. These wristbands allow emergency responders and healthcare professionals to quickly access important medical information by scanning the QR code with a smartphone during an emergency. Yesterday at 1930 CHFD was requested mutual aid to the Town of Lansing for a reported structure fire. CHFD Engine 3, Engine 2, Ladder 1, and Car 2 responded. Engine 3 arrived on scene and assumed the attack position, flowing water to handlines for fire suppression. The remaining CHFD units assisted LFD with other fireground tasks.
